SF Bay Area Wedding Photographer
"The best photos happen when people are fully immersed in the experience."
Hello, I'm Carrie- the creative eye behind CMG Imagery. I'm a documentary wedding photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, photographing weddings throughout Northern California and wherever a good story takes me.
Over the last thirteen years, I've photographed hundreds of weddings, navigating everything from dark churches and shifting weather to family dynamics and evolving timelines. That experience allows me to anticipate what's needed before you ever have to think about it, creating space for you to stay focused on the people and moments that matter most.
My approach blends documentary wedding photography with an editorial eye, preserving the genuine experience of the day while creating photographs that capture both the beauty of the moment and the experience of living it.
I care deeply about the photographs we create, but I care just as much about how your wedding day feels while we're creating them. My goal is for you to feel supported, seen and to be able to be fully present throughout the day while I take care of the rest.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started with film cameras and photographing cats on family trips eventually led to a B.A. in Photography and years spent photographing editorial, fashion, and commercial work before founding CMG Imagery in 2012.
When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll usually find me exploring backcountry trails, road tripping with my cat Mishka, searching for abandoned roadside motels, or finding any excuse to spend time outdoors.
If you're planning a wedding beneath the redwoods, along the California coast, at a vineyard in wine country or in a backyard filled with your favorite people, I'd love to hear what you're envisioning for your day.
Reach out and say hello—I can't wait to hear from you!

Fact 1
The wildest hike I ever did was back- packing the Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali coast line. Twenty-two miles of terror round trip. Second wildest trip was hitch hiking from my hometown, Nevada City to Ashland, Oregon. Oh the stories we survived in our youth. ;)

Fact 2
Whether it is locally or internationally, I love exploring and discovering new places. Abandoned buildings and unique architecture always inspire me for creative shoots. I love to style and direct conceptual fashion shoots by combining my one-of-a- kind vintage finds with a newly discovered location that matches. Think Wes Anderson meets Richard Avedon.

Fact 3
I have a 6 year Siamese cat named Mishka (Meesh), who loves to eat my house plants to terrorize me. I love her dearly, none-the -less. She has a giant cat wheel that my amazing dad built her and is a great travel companion. She always rides shot gun on my trips to Reno to visit my family. She also knows how to sit and high five.

Fact 4
I'm probably listening Smosh Reads Reddit Stories podcast while I edit your photos. If not a podcast, then my go to is either old blues like Muddy Waters or something that makes me move like EDM or drum and bass. Power edit!!
