What to Expect During Your Portraits
Plan to have fun! Consider it more of an adventure meandering around a location together and creating images like the ones in this elopement gallery. Whether it is City Hall, where I can show you all the best spots, or a new location that is special to you, I absolutely love exploring and being inspired by lighting, architecture and colors so that I can capture you in your best light and tell your story in a dynamic way. I LOVE cinematic style portraiture!
While many of the portraits in this collection seem candid and this couple retains an effortlessly cool appearance throughout, behind the scenes I am actually setting up and directing a moment to unfold so that it looks and feels natural. I love incorprating movement during portraits by giving a prompt. Expect to hear things like “Do a twirl so your dress spins outward!” or “Gently brush her hair out of her face and then rest your foreheads together.” This last one will definitely come up if we are shooting at Palace of the Fine Arts on a windy day!
